Before I get to the goods, there's some good news on my blog this tour! The random winner from last month's tour was drawn from all the comments left on my blog! Mary Anne V, you're the proud new owner of a free Flourishes stamp set of your choice! Please contact Kathy at email@example.com with your choice and mailing information!
This month, Betty is our hostess, and being that the holidays are just around the corner, and snow will quickly be falling in many parts of the world, we were challenged to capture that magic by incorporating sparkle into our creations this month. Add glitter? NO problem!
Now don't forget: not only are you able to feast your eyes on lots of sparkly beauty on your tour, but you also have a chance to win! Every month, one of the designer's blogs is chosen at random, and one of the commenters from that blog wins FREE Flourishes stamps! You never know which one of us will be chosen, so make sure you leave comments on each stop around the world! And just as importantly, don't forget to check back during next month's tour to see if your name was drawn!
You should have arrived here from Ann-Elise's blog. If not, head over to the Flourishes blog to start from the beginning! I decided to use a monochromatic colour scheme for this one, and create a very pretty, feminine holiday card. And then I figured out how to keep adding more and more sparkle... wouldn't want to back down from a challenge, right?
Now, at first glance, I am sure you're thinking "that doesn't look *that* sparkly..." Well... a girl has to be subtle in her glitter overload, right?
Here's how I added it all on:
First, I grabbed my glue pen, and added some glitter to the snow on my vintage ornament image (from the All That Glitters stamp set). It is difficult to photograph just *how* pretty this looks. You can also see that I used a sparkly silver cord on my tag.
Again, not shown so well in the photo, but that snowflake embellishment is covered in glitter. Oh, and a sparkly rhinestone never did anyone any harm!
And finally... the sentiment itself! I chose this one from the Holiday Sparkle set (was there any other choice?), since it fit the theme so perfectly.
Sparkly enough for ya? *wink*
Now, onto your next destination, sunny and warm Australia with:
